Evangeline and Donovan have called Cleveland home since 2022 and have lived in the West Boulevard neighborhood since 2023. The pair met at Kent State University where they graduated with their bachelors – Evangeline’s in Accounting, Donovan’s in Computer Science and History. After graduation, they made Cleveland their home and quickly fell in love with the city. Evangeline serves as the Manager of Adult Education at the Hope Center, a local nonprofit supporting refugees and immigrants. She has worked in ESL programs for over three years and has achieved her Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Cleveland State University. He is passionate about building technology that enhances human experience and brings structure to complex systems. The Bylers share a heart for community engagement and development and both earned certificates in Urban Leadership from the Kingdom Leadership Alliance at the Akron Leadership Foundation. Recently, they were overjoyed to welcome their daughter, Eliana, into their family and look forward to exploring what community building can look like as a family. Their heart for hospitality and justice is animated by Isaiah 1:17: “Learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.”
